The three-naved church measures 68 meters in length, 33 meters in width, with a central nave reaching 30 meters in height.
Construction began in 1328 under architect Berenguer de Montagut, with the structure evolving through additions until the completion of the neo-Gothic facade in 1934.
The basilica houses numerous Gothic altarpieces, including the largest preserved Gothic altarpiece in Catalonia created by painter Pere Serra.
Visitors can explore the basilica Monday through Friday from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with general admission at 4 euros.
The central nave stands among the widest Gothic naves in Europe, measuring 18.5 meters across with minimal interior decorations and large stained glass windows.
