Pi de les Tres Branques, Monumental tree in Castellar del Riu, Spain

The Scots pine tree rises 25 meters tall and splits into three main branches, creating a natural formation near the town of Berga.

The tree took root between 1630 and 1632 during the construction of a nearby farmhouse and received its first documented mention in 1685.

The annual gathering at the tree site takes place every third Sunday of July, featuring traditional Catalan dances, music performances, and speeches.

The tree location offers designated parking areas and marked paths for visitors who want to explore the natural surroundings of Castellar del Riu.

A younger pine tree, Pi Jove, grows 300 meters from the original site and maintains the symbolic legacy of the three-branched formation.
