Description
Plaza de las Angustias is a garden with a central fountain and shaded green spaces in the heart of Jerez de la Frontera. Large trees create natural shelter and make the space comfortable for walking and sitting.
History
The plaza was founded in 1578 with a devotional cross and later developed into a public gathering space. In 1839 the city's first bullring was built on the site.
Culture
The plaza includes a monument dedicated to aviator Juan Manuel Duran Gonzalez, who participated in the first transatlantic seaplane crossing in 1926.

The plaza has several seating areas near cafes and shops, making it easy to spend time relaxing. The pedestrianized design means visitors can walk freely without worrying about traffic.
