Santuario de Nuestra Señora de Miravalles

The Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de Miravalles features a single rectangular nave measuring 22 meters long and 7.5 meters wide, with ribbed vaults and stone walls.

King Ordoño I established the first church on this site in 860, while the current structure was built between 1740 and 1744, incorporating elements from a 15th-century temple.

The sanctuary holds annual celebrations on September 8th, beginning with a nine-day devotional period and concluding with a solemn Mass and procession.

The sanctuary stands 40 kilometers from Oviedo and is accessible via a road ascending from Soto de Aller, with mountain trails surrounding the religious complex.

The stone polychrome image of the Virgin, created in 1985 by Mauro Álvarez Fernández, represents the sanctuary's patroness who was declared mayor of Aller in 1951.
