The park was created in the 1990s as part of a city initiative to add green space to western Málaga. It replaced an area that previously housed summer cinemas in this location.
The park features sculptures by a German artist scattered throughout, depicting fantasy scenes and local folklore characters. These works add unexpected artistic moments to a casual walk through the green space.
The park opens daily at 8 AM with closing times varying by season between 10 PM and 1 AM. Visitors will find a mix of paved paths and natural ground areas, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended for the full experience.
An underpass near the lakes plays classical music, a detail many visitors miss while exploring the grounds. This hidden musical element creates an unexpected sensory surprise within the natural landscape.
