Parque del Oeste, Urban park in Carretera de Cádiz district, Málaga, Spain.
The 74,000 square meter park contains nearly 800 trees, artificial lakes, sports facilities, and numerous walking paths lined with decorative flower beds.
The park opened in 1992 on the former site of summer cinemas, following an initiative by Mayor Pedro Aparicio Sánchez to create green spaces in western Málaga.
German artist Stefan von Reiswitz created 45 sculptures throughout the park, including fantasy-themed pieces and characters from regional folklore.
Visitors can access the park daily from 8 AM, with closing times varying between 10 PM in winter and 1 AM during summer months.
Classical music plays through an underpass near the lake, while Australian animals such as wallabies and emus reside in designated areas.
