The center occupies an expansive building with interconnected pavilions, courtyards, and a central axis featuring large windows and open spaces.
The building, constructed between 1907 and 1912, served initially as a house of mercy and was later converted into a hospital during the Morocco war.
Since 2013, the center maintains an extensive program of workshops, art exhibitions, markets, concerts, and conferences for the local community.
The facility contains a video library of 300 recorded conferences, providing educational resources and documentation for visitors and researchers.
The building retains nineteenth-century marble fountains and brick archways, while hosting modern cultural productions and international art events.
