Stade Silvestre-Carrillo

Estadio Silvestre Carrillo is a football stadium built atop a commercial building on the edge of a ravine in Santa Cruz de La Palma. The facility features artificial turf and spectator seating for around 4,000 people arranged on east and west sides.

The stadium opened in 1977 and underwent major renovation in the early 2000s, when commercial spaces were added beneath the playing field. This modernization merged sports functions with business operations and adapted the facility to contemporary standards.

The stadium is deeply linked to CD Mensajero, the main football club of La Palma island, which has called this place home for nearly a century. Locals gather here to watch matches and support their team, making it a gathering point for sports fans across the region.

The stadium sits on a ravine edge, so expect uneven terrain and steps when moving around the grounds. For events, wear comfortable shoes and come prepared for the local conditions of the site.

The stadium uses the ravine's natural slope, placing the playing field on the roof of an office complex beneath it. This unusual design allowed a working sports facility to be built above a business structure.
