Casa Lamaignere is a six-story residential building on Explanada de España featuring ornate balconies, generous windows, and a chamfered corner decorated with sculptural elements. The facade displays the characteristic craftsmanship of the period across all sides of the structure.
Architect Juan Vidal Ramos designed the building in 1918 for businessman José Lamaignere Rodes, combining rental apartments with commercial spaces on the ground floor. The project reflected the growth of modern architecture in the region during that era.
The building embodies the Valencian Art Nouveau style, a regional architectural approach that merged decorative details with practical living spaces. Visitors can observe the crafted ornaments on balconies and windows that define this local tradition.
The building sits on Explanada de España next to Casa Carbonell, making it easy to locate while walking the famous promenade. The ground floor contains shops and cafes, allowing visitors to explore the surroundings while enjoying the street-level activity.
