Viaducto de San Martín, Cultural heritage viaduct in Ortigosa de Cameros, Spain

The San Martin Viaduct spans 97 meters across the Albercos River with a central arch rising 40 meters above the water level.

Built in 1924, this reinforced concrete bridge represented a significant advancement in civil engineering during the early twentieth century construction methods.

The structure received cultural heritage status in November 2021, recognizing its architectural significance in the La Rioja region of northern Spain.

The viaduct connects the neighborhoods of San Martin and San Miguel, providing essential passage for vehicles and pedestrians through Ortigosa's historic center.

The central arch spans 60 meters without articulation, making it the largest preserved concrete arch bridge from its construction period.
