Tikkurila Church

Tikkurila Church is a church building in the Tikkurila district completed in 2021, featuring a distinctive multicolored brick exterior. The interior combines concrete and wood materials, with a main hall seating around 500 people, alongside student housing, apartments, offices, and a street-level café.

The original church building from 1956 served the community for decades before deteriorating to the point where reconstruction became necessary. The new building, opened in 2021, continues the spiritual function while adding modern community facilities.

The church serves as a gathering place where the local community comes together for worship and social events. It functions as a social hub that blends religious practice with everyday community life.

The building at Asematie 12 is easily accessible and contains multiple functional areas you can explore during a visit. The café on the ground floor is open to visitors and provides a comfortable way to experience the facility.

The building features movable interior walls that allow the space to transform between smaller gatherings of about 100 people and larger events with up to 400 guests. This flexibility makes it possible to adapt the space for different types of meetings and community needs.
