Leppävirta Church

The church building features symmetrical architecture with grand columns and extends across a substantial space to accommodate 2,200 worshippers at once.

Carl Ludvig Engel, together with the National Board of Public Building, completed the construction of this Neoclassical church structure in 1846.

The Finnish government recognizes this religious structure as a Cultural Heritage Site of National Significance within the Rakennusperintörekisteri protected buildings register.
