Junker, Launched roller coaster in PowerPark, Kauhava, Finland
Junker is a launched coaster at PowerPark that spans 860 meters through the park's landscape and reaches heights of 40 meters. The track features three inversions and includes an underwater tunnel section as part of its route.
This coaster opened in 2015 as the third installation of its type worldwide, following earlier versions at other parks. The Gerstlauer design brought advanced technology to this Finnish amusement park.
The ride's name draws from Finnish tradition, linking the coaster to local stories and giving it a character that connects to the region's cultural roots.
Riders must be at least 130 centimeters tall, while children between 8 and 10 years old need an adult aged 15 or older accompanying them. The ride operates best during warmer months when the park is fully open.
The coaster accelerates from zero to about 100 kilometers per hour in under 2 seconds, faster than most sports cars. This extreme pace makes it one of the most intense acceleration experiences in a European amusement park.
