Château de Forsac, Medieval castle in Benayes, France.

The castle structure spans three floors and includes two remaining towers from its original fortified design, surrounded by extensive parkland with plane trees.

Following two fires during the religious wars, François de la Baume undertook the reconstruction of the castle at the end of the 16th century.

The estate maintains a lion cage in its park, which belonged to Count de Chérade de Montbron, who introduced Scottish setters to France.

The castle opens its doors for public visits and receptions, combining residential services with agricultural activities in the Limousin region.

According to family tradition, the plane trees in the castle park were gifts from Queen Marie Antoinette herself.
