Montagne de Robion, Mountain summit in Haute Provence, France
The Montagne de Robion reaches an elevation of 866 meters and features contrasting landscapes with a wooded northern side and steep limestone cliffs to the south.
The mountain territory includes the hamlet of Robion, which merged with Castellane municipality in 1973, marking a shift in local administrative organization.
The Saint-Thyrse chapel, dating from the 10th century, and Saint-Trophime chapel represent significant religious structures connected to the mountain's heritage.
Hikers can access the mountain through marked trails starting from Castellane, with the ascent taking approximately four hours to reach the summit.
From its peak, the mountain provides views of both the Verdon river gorges and the transition between Alpine landscapes and Mediterranean plains.
