Imola Circuit, Racing circuit in Imola, Italy
The Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari is a racing circuit in Imola in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna with a length of 4909 meters and 19 turns running counterclockwise. The facility seats 78,000 spectators and meets the highest level of FIA requirements for international races.
The track opened in 1953 as a motorcycle course and was later adapted for car racing. In 1988 it received its current name in honor of the Ferrari founder and his late son.
The circuit carries the names of Enzo Ferrari and his son Alfredo, known as Dino, linking the track to the engine heritage of Italy. Visitors see this connection in the stands and facilities, where the red and yellow colors of the region blend with the passion for fast cars.
Access to the stands is available through several entrances, with the facility designed to be accessible. Those wanting to see the track during a race should arrive early, as seating fills up quickly.
British driver Lewis Hamilton holds the lap record since 2020 with a time of 1 minute and 15 seconds. He set this mark during the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix on a track considered technically demanding.
