Colleferro

Located between the Alban Hills and Monti Lepini mountains, Colleferro functions as a transportation hub connecting major highways and railway lines at 218 meters elevation.

The town emerged in 1912 when an old sugar factory transformed into an explosives production facility, leading to its formal establishment as a municipality in 1935.

The population of 21,000 residents represents a mix of Italian regional backgrounds, stemming from the initial workers who migrated for employment at the Bombrini Parodi Delfino factory.

The Municipal Stadium Maurizio Natali provides facilities for multiple sports activities, including rugby, athletics, and football competitions throughout the year.

Despite its relatively young age compared to surrounding medieval towns, Colleferro maintains 258 factories, two waste incinerators, and a cement plant in its industrial zone.
