The Pyramid of Cestius is an ancient pyramid in Rome, Italy, near the Porta San Paolo and the Protestant Cemetery.

It was built about 18–12 BC as a tomb for Gaius Cestius, a magistrate and member of one of the four great religious corporations in Rome, the Septemviri Epulonum.

In terms of cultural significance, it has been referenced extensively in arts and literature and is preserved as an historical monument.

Walking through its surroundings gives you an opportunity to appreciate its structure and intricate designs.

Despite being built during the Roman Empire, it reflects the architecture style of Egyptian Pyramids.
