The National Historical Artillery Museum occupies two locations in Turin: the Mastio della Cittadella headquarters and the Amione Barracks storage facility.
In 1731, King Carlo Emanuele III of Sardinia established the museum at the Royal Arsenal of Turin to preserve artillery artifacts and military technology.
The museum collection includes 12,000 items, from portable firearms to artillery pieces dating from the 14th century, along with uniforms, flags, and archaeological findings.

The library contains over 10,000 volumes and maintains a historical archive documenting the technological advancement of military weapons through the centuries.
