The National Historical Artillery Museum in Turin holds about 12,000 objects, ranging from portable firearms to cannons spanning several centuries. The collection is housed in two locations: the Mastio della Cittadella fortress and the Amione Barracks storage facility.

King Carlo Emanuele III founded this collection in 1731 at the Royal Arsenal of Turin to preserve military artifacts and weaponry. The institution grew from a practical need to document and maintain the technological development of firearms over time.

The collection displays uniforms, flags, and personal items that reflect military life across different periods. These objects help visitors understand how soldiers lived and what their role meant in the course of events.
