Castelnuovo di Noarna, Medieval castle in Nogaredo, Italy.
The castle incorporates a central keep, defensive fortifications, battlements, and a watchtower that monitored the former wooden drawbridge entrance.
Built in the 11th century to guard the Vallagarina valley, the castle passed from the Lords of Castelnuovo to the Castelbarco family, then to the Lodron dynasty.
The St. Ruprecht Chapel contains a 1580 column depicting Mary's coronation with Saint Nicholas and Saint Francis in baroque architectural style.
Located at Via Castelnuovo 19 in Nogaredo, the castle currently operates as a winery producing 35,000 bottles annually but remains closed to public visits.
The castle's kennel served as a prison for women during the witch trials of Nogaredo between 1646 and 1647.
