Palazzo Podestà

Palazzo Podestà is a palace consisting of two connected buildings spanning multiple floors with stone facades and architectural features from the 16th century. Inside, the rooms are arranged with decorated walls and ornate ceilings that reflect the craftsmanship of the period.

The building was constructed in 1565 following the design of architect Giovanni Battista Castello and first served as an administrative headquarters for city officials and courts. Over the centuries, its purpose and use shifted as Genoa's political and social structures changed.
