Tomb of Hunting and Fishing

Discovered in 1873, this sixth-century BCE tomb stands as an example of Late Archaic Etruscan architecture within the vast Monterozzi necropolis near Tarquinia.

The painted scenes reveal Etruscan daily life through representations of hunting expeditions, fishing activities, and ceremonial banquets of the period.

Visitors can access the tomb through guided tours from the National Etruscan Museum, with transportation provided by a free shuttle service every thirty minutes.

The tomb presents a rare combination of maritime and hunting scenes, including a notable fresco of a youth diving from a cliff into water.
