Tschenglser Hochwand, Mountain summit in South Tyrol, Italy.
The Tschenglser Hochwand, reaching 3375 meters in elevation, stands at the intersection of Cengles Valley, Zai Valley, and Razoi Valley in the Ortles Alps.
The first documented climb of Tschenglser Hochwand occurred in 1871 when mountaineer V. Hecht and guide J. Pingerra successfully reached the summit through the southwest ridge.
The mountain sits within Stelvio National Park, where German and Italian languages meet, reflecting the multicultural character of South Tyrol's alpine traditions.
Climbers access the summit from Rifugio Serristori at 2721 meters, following path number 5 to Passo di Zai before ascending through a steep gully to the ridge.
The summit features three distinct climbing routes, including the Normal route and two via ferratas, with the newest path established in 2002.
