Riserva naturale Montefalcone

Riserva naturale Montefalcone is a protected nature reserve near Castelfranco di Sotto covering roughly 500 hectares. The area displays diverse terrain with plateaus and narrow valleys carved by small waterways and natural drainage patterns.

The area was established as a biogenetic reserve in 1977 and gained additional protection status as a wildlife reserve in 1980. These designations marked early efforts to safeguard the natural habitats and species diversity found here.
