Autostrada A1 bridge

The bridge construction began in 1960 under Autostrade per l'Italia supervision and opened in 1961 as part of Italy's expanding national highway infrastructure program.

Between 2002 and 2007, the bridge underwent expansion work to accommodate three lanes in each direction, enhancing traffic flow through Florence.
