Castello del Potentino

The castle rises on a hill surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, featuring an L-shaped structure with a central courtyard and Renaissance architectural elements.

Built around the year 1000 as a possession of the bishops of Chiusi, the castle changed ownership through centuries among noble families like Visconti, Bonsignori, and Bourbon Del Monte.

The castle maintains eight distinct bedrooms within its walls and hosts regular cooking workshops, wine education courses, and baking retreats throughout the year.

Visitors can participate in wine tastings, stay overnight in the castle rooms, and join guided tours that showcase the property's cultivation of Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, and Alicante grapes.

The property combines wine production with educational programs, operating on mixed volcanic soil that creates specific conditions for grape cultivation at the foot of Monte Amiata.
