The Museo degli Arazzi displays textile art through a collection of Flemish tapestries created in Brussels during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
The museum opened its doors in 1984 to preserve and present eight Flemish tapestries originally woven in Brussels for Spanish King Philip II.
Each tapestry in the collection represents European textile craftsmanship through detailed patterns, techniques, and historical narratives of the period.
The museum welcomes visitors Tuesday and Thursday from 09:00 to 13:00 and 16:30 to 19:30, while Wednesday, Friday through Sunday hours are 09:00 to 13:00.
Located at Via Garraffa 57, the museum shares its neighborhood with Chiesa del Purgatorio and sits near Piazza della Repubblica in central Marsala.
