Palazzo Laderchi

Palazzo Laderchi is a city residence in Faenza that now functions as a museum displaying a family's private collection. The rooms contain personal objects, documents, and crafted works spanning different periods, arranged as the family once inhabited them.

An architect designed the building in the late 1700s, blending Baroque and Neoclassical forms in its structure. The family occupied the house over generations, adapting rooms to their evolving needs and interests.

The palazzo served as a private residence for a wealthy family who collected and preserved materials tied to the Italian unification cause. Rooms throughout reflect how the family's interests shaped their living spaces and displayed their civic convictions.

One sequence of rooms displays decorative paintings showing the story of Cupid and Psyche from ancient myth. Another room with an elliptical shape was designed as a study space for astronomical observations.
