Teatro Comunale Angelo Masini

The Teatro Comunale Angelo Masini is a neoclassical opera house in Faenza with an auditorium featuring ceiling and wall decorations by artist Felice Giani. The interior displays typical characteristics of baroque opera house decoration with elaborate details and elegant proportions.

Construction began in 1780 to replace a deteriorating wooden structure, and the house opened in 1788 with the opera Cajo Ostilio. This new foundation marked a turning point in the development of city cultural life in the second half of the 1700s.
