Passo della Scoglina, Mountain pass at 926 meters in Liguria, Italy
The Passo della Scoglina connects three valleys: Val d'Aveto, Val Trebbia, and Val Fontanabuona, through the municipalities of Favale di Malvaro, Montebruno, and Rezzoaglio.
A memorial stone erected in 1985 commemorates the Italian Resistance activities that took place at this strategic mountain pass during World War II.
The pass marks the birthplace of two rivers, the Malvaro and Aveto, while the surrounding area contains small deposits of pyrite, attracting mineralogy enthusiasts.
Provincial roads lead to the pass, which serves as a segment of the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri trail connecting Barbagelata to Monte Ramaceto.
Local cyclists from Genoa and Liguria regularly train on these mountain roads, navigating through beech forests and natural terraces.
