Villa Borromeo, Renaissance villa in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, Italy.

Villa Borromeo stands on a hilltop with an L-shaped structure featuring a stone staircase leading to a panoramic terrace overlooking Val di Pesa valley.

The Borromeo family built this country residence in the 14th century, and in 1704 it passed to the Capponi family through marriage arrangements.

The villa contains an 18th-century ballroom with a vaulted ceiling and includes a family chapel that replicates the Santa Casa di Loreto.

The property at Via del Borromeo 110 now operates as a restaurant, offering traditional Tuscan cuisine and hosting ceremonies in its decorated rooms.

Pope Pius VII, Ferdinand III, and Antonia of Bourbon stayed at Villa Borromeo before its conversion into a restaurant in the 1950s.
