Villa Fidelia

Villa Fidelia is a baroque-style historical park museum in Spello featuring an expansive green space with terraced gardens connected by curved staircases. At the center stands a fountain decorated with a statue of Diana, while holm-oak groves and olive trees occupy the outer grounds.

The site began as a sanctuary shared by Umbrian cities in the 4th century BC before the Urbani family transformed it into a villa during the 16th century. This conversion established the residential and recreational purpose that shaped the property into its current form.

The garden displays traditional Italian Renaissance design with box hedges dividing planting areas and rows of citrus pots arranged along the paths. These elements show how the space was created to reflect ideals of order and beauty that mattered to those who shaped it.
