Villa Fidelia, Historical park museum in Spello, Italy
The 60,000-square-meter Villa Fidelia features a Vesuvian garden with terraces connected by curved stairways and a central fountain adorned with a statue of Diana.
The site originated as a Federal Sanctuary of Umbrian cities in the 4th century BC before transforming into a villa through modifications by the Urbani family in the 16th century.
The Italian garden comprises four main flowerbeds divided by box hedges and lined with citrus pots, representing traditional Renaissance garden design principles.
The Province of Perugia maintains the villa as a venue for theatrical performances, concerts, and temporary exhibitions, welcoming 30,000 visitors in 2019.
The complex incorporates both a holiday resort and a small theatre, while its extensive park contains 20,000 square meters of holm-oak groves and olive trees.
