Spiaggia Cala Cartoe

Spiaggia Cala Cartoe is a beach on the eastern coast of Sardinia with white sand and turquoise water. The cove is framed by tall limestone cliffs that give the coastline a dramatic appearance.

The cove lies within the territory of Dorgali, a region with a long history of human settlement from various Mediterranean civilizations. These settlements left their mark on the landscape and culture of the surrounding area.

In the summer months, locals gather at this beach and continue the Sardinian tradition of spending time together by the sea and sharing meals.

The beach is reachable by car from Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport in about 80 minutes, with parking available near the shore. Summer offers the best conditions, with warm water and good underwater visibility.

Natural caves and rock formations in the surrounding cliffs offer opportunities for snorkeling and geological exploration. At low tide, hidden little coves and rock pools become visible.
