Villino Andreini, Art Nouveau villa in Porta Nuova, Grosseto, Italy.
Villino Andreini is a three-story building in the Art Nouveau style with brick and stone structures. The decorated facade displays floral patterns and its main entrance is marked with the letter A.
Engineer Corrado Andreini designed and commissioned the building in 1909 as one of the first notable constructions along the avenue. It marked the start of modern urban development in that area.
The exterior displays characteristic Art Nouveau ornaments such as curved lines and ceramic tiles with vine patterns. Visitors can observe these naturalistic details clearly when viewing the facade from street level.
The building is located on Viale G. Mameli and belongs to the State Property Agency, making it strongly protected. Visitors should note this is a private building and should be viewed from the street.
In 1926 the building transitioned from a residence to an office for the Tuscan Maremma Inspectorate, gaining an additional floor. This transformation occurred without visibly altering the original Art Nouveau design.
