Ikema Bridge

Ikema Bridge connects Miyako Island to Ikema Island, spanning across the water between them. The structure allows both cars and pedestrians to cross, making movement between the two islands straightforward.

The bridge was completed in the early 1990s and opened to traffic to link the islands more effectively. This connection transformed how people moved around the region and eliminated the need for boat travel between these two locations.

The bridge forms part of a trio of crossings in Miyakojima, alongside Irabu Bridge and Kurima Bridge, enabling island exploration.
