Mount Omoto

Mount Omoto is a granite peak on Ishigaki Island and stands as the highest point in Okinawa Prefecture. The route up passes through different vegetation zones and reveals waterfalls and rock formations along the way.

The peak received official recognition as a Place of Scenic Beauty from Japan's national government. This designation honored its role as an important natural landmark in the region's heritage.
