Yabashira Station, railway station in Matsudo, Chiba Prefecture, Japan
Yabashira Station is an above-ground railway station in Matsudo, Japan, operated by Keisei Electric Railway. It has a single island platform between two tracks and an elevated station building with ticket counters and machines.
The station opened in 1955 and has served the eastern part of Matsudo ever since. A new station building was built in 2003, and in 2025 Keisei Electric Railway took over operations after a company merger.
The station sits in a residential neighborhood where schools and hospitals shape the daily routine. Commuters, students, and locals pass through it every day, giving it the feel of an ordinary but central point in Matsudo life.
The station is reachable by stairs, ramps, and elevators, and restrooms are available on site. Nearby bus stops connect to local neighborhoods and shopping areas in the surrounding part of Matsudo.
The neighboring Shin-Yahashira Station on the JR Musashino Line is only about a 3-minute walk away, but there is no direct passageway connecting the two stops. Travelers switching between the two railway companies must walk through the surrounding neighborhood to make the transfer.
