Ningineer Stadium

Ningineer Stadium is a multi-purpose sports facility in Matsuyama with four concrete stands surrounding a large playing field served by an eight-lane synthetic track. The venue holds around 20,000 spectators and hosts both track and field championships and professional football matches.

The stadium opened in 1979 and underwent major renovation work in 2005 to upgrade its facilities and prepare it for professional events. These improvements marked an important shift in how the region's sports venues operated.

The stadium serves as the main venue for Ehime FC home matches and regional track and field events, bringing together sports fans who gather here regularly. Visitors witness both professional football and university competitions that matter to the local community.

The facility offers parking and restroom facilities at several points, while good public transportation connections from Matsuyama make getting there straightforward. Visitors should allow time to explore the different entrances and seating areas.

The venue received its current name in 2008 through a sponsorship deal with Ningineer Network, making it the first naming rights agreement for a sports facility in Ehime Prefecture. This type of partnership was groundbreaking for how local sports venues were funded at that time.
