Shōnai Greens

Shonai Greens encompasses a vast area featuring tennis courts, cycling paths, a skating park, rose gardens, and extensive lawns spread across multiple recreational zones.

The park, established in April 1986, was developed from the Odai retention basin of the Shonai River as part of Japan's Fourth Five-Year Urban Parks Development Plan.

Throughout the year, the park hosts seasonal flower festivals, including cherry blossom celebrations in spring and cosmos displays in autumn, drawing numerous visitors.

The Green Plaza section operates from 9:00 to 16:45, with indoor facilities available until 21:00, accessible directly from Shonai Ryokuchi Koen subway station.

The park incorporates a dedicated bird forest, temperature-controlled greenhouses, and specialized fitness areas that combine natural elements with exercise facilities.
