Usakumai Sites

The Usakumai Sites contain multiple excavation areas near the Naibetsu River, revealing settlements and artifacts from prehistoric communities in northern Japan.

Designated as a Historic Site of Japan in 1979, these archaeological grounds document the evolution of early hunter-gatherer societies through discovered tools and remnants.
