Hanafuru

Hanafuru is a garden with multiple sections of seasonal flowers, walking paths, and viewing areas set at the base of Hokkaido's mountains. The grounds offer different zones for strolling and rest throughout the site.

The garden opened in 2020 and marked the start of a new phase in developing public botanical spaces in Eniwa. Its establishment was part of an effort to expand recreational areas in the region.

The grounds display Japanese gardening methods through their design and plant choices, with a focus on local species. Visitors can observe how traditional techniques support the preservation of regional plant life.

The site offers guided tours, botanical workshops, and seasonal activities available throughout the year. Visitors can find parking and rest areas conveniently placed on the grounds.

The site works with botanical research institutions to study and preserve rare plant species from northern Japan. These partnerships allow the location to merge scientific work with visitor experiences.
