南津守さくら公園

Minamitsumori Sakura Park is a sports facility in Osaka that features natural grass and artificial turf fields, tennis courts, and a children's play area spread across its grounds. The different facilities sit together within the same park, creating space for various activities in one location.

The site was converted into a park around the year 2000 on land that once held a meat processing facility, transforming the industrial past into recreational space. This change of use fundamentally altered the character of this part of the neighborhood.

The space serves as a regular training ground for youth soccer programs and hosts community sports activities for children throughout the year. This sports-focused use shapes how local families spend their time and makes the place a hub for young athletes in the neighborhood.

The park is best reached by walking from Kishisato Station or Tengachaya Station, which takes about 20 minutes from either location. Keep in mind that sports facilities may sometimes be reserved for team use during your visit.

The park features late-blooming cherry varieties such as Satozakura and Yaezakura that open over an extended period in spring rather than all at once. This means visitors can enjoy the blossoms over several weeks instead of just a brief window.
