Château d'Osaki, Feudal castle in Katori, Japan.

A mountain castle from the early Kamakura period, featuring steep slopes, moats, and defensive earthwork structures visible in its remains.

The castle served as a stronghold for the Kokubun clan during the Sengoku period and successfully repelled multiple attacks from the Satomi clan.

The castle site includes the Honmyoji Temple, which contains memorial stones and historical markers documenting the legacy of the Kokubun family.

The castle ruins can be reached by a 50-minute walk from JR Sawara Station, with the main bailey marked by guidance posts near Honmyoji Temple.

The fortress includes vertical moats between its third and fourth compounds, demonstrating advanced defensive engineering for its construction period.
