大門碑林公園

Daimon Hiseki Park is a stone inscription park with 15 steles that replicate famous Chinese calligraphy inscriptions, including works by Wang Xizhi. The steles are arranged throughout a peaceful setting where visitors can examine these classical writings up close.

The park was established on ancestral lands of the Kai Genji clan, a historically significant family with roots in the region. The site connects the veneration of Chinese writing arts to local Japanese history.

The place serves as a center for calligraphy arts where visitors can experience traditional ink rubbing techniques on stone. Chinese calligraphy displayed here holds deep cultural meaning in Japanese artistic practice.

The park is easy to reach on foot and has plenty of space to explore the steles at your own pace. Wear comfortable shoes and allow time to look closely at the inscriptions and appreciate their details.

Since 2018, the park hosts annual Valentine's Day events featuring fire performances, light shows, and fireworks. These modern spectacles create a surprising contrast to the classical, quiet nature of the site.
