Osaka Geihinkan, 日本の大阪府大阪市にある建築物
Osaka Geihinkan is a guest house in the Nishinomaru Garden within Osaka Castle Park, built with traditional Japanese elements including wooden details and tatami mats. The dining room combines classical design with modern comfort, offering views of the garden and castle structures.
The guest house was built in 1995 for the APEC conference to host international visitors. In 2019, it served as the banquet venue for the G20 Osaka Summit and gained worldwide attention.
The building occupies a garden space with roots in the family estate of a feudal lord. Visitors experience how Japanese craftsmanship and hospitality traditions shape every detail of the place.
The location is about a ten-minute walk from Morinomiya Station or thirteen minutes from Osaka Business Park Station. Reservations are required for dining, and opening hours are irregular, so check the official website before visiting.
The interior was modeled after the Shiroshoin from Kyoto's Nijo Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The kitchen is led by a renowned French chef who uses local ingredients from the Kansai region.
