Naramachi Museum, House museum in Nishinoshin'yachō, Japan
The Naramachi Museum displays a collection of traditional wooden shop signs, folk implements, and Buddhist statues within a preserved historic building.
Since its establishment in 1985, the museum has maintained records of local history through artifacts from the Edo to Meiji periods.
The exhibition space contains handcrafted tools and household items that demonstrate the daily routines of Nara residents across different generations.
Located within a 15-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Station, the museum opens daily from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM with free admission.
Visitors can purchase red and white silk migawarizaru amulets, which represent a traditional good luck charm specific to this area.
