The park stands near Amanohashidate, a natural formation that Japanese poets and artists have documented in their works since the eighth century.
Visitors practice matanozoki, viewing the sandbar through their legs, following a tradition established at nearby Kasamatsu Park over one thousand years ago.
The park operates from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM between October and November, with annual maintenance closures scheduled for five days in December.
The cable car system transports guests to multiple viewing platforms where they can observe the pine-covered sandbar stretching across the mouth of Miyazu Bay.
