Kawaguchi Science Museum

Kawaguchi Science Museum is a science facility with a public observatory located in the city of Kawaguchi. The exhibition covers topics such as power, light, weather, water, and celestial observations through various interactive stations for exploration.

The museum opened in 2003 as part of the SKIP City development project in Saitama Prefecture and began its mission in science education. This new facility was part of a larger infrastructure initiative to modernize the region.

The observatory houses an automatic model railway display alongside astronomical instruments, combining transportation engineering with space education. This unusual pairing shows how two different engineering fields exist side by side within the same space.
