Noboribetsu Date Jidaimura

Noboribetsu Date Jidaimura faithfully recreates an entire Edo period village with traditional architecture, streets, and performance theaters across its grounds.

The park, established in 1992 with an investment of 12 billion yen, attracted 700,000 visitors in its first year of operation.

The Japanese Culture Theater presents authentic Edo period performances, including detailed demonstrations of traditional samurai techniques and geisha ceremonies.

Visitors can reach the park via a 6-minute bus ride from JR Noboribetsu Station, with operating hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM in summer.

The park features the Kasumi Ninja House, where performers demonstrate historical ninja techniques through intricate mechanical contraptions and secret passages.
