Toneri

Toneri is a residential neighborhood in Adachi-ku featuring apartment buildings and local shops arranged around the expansive Toneri Park. The area provides residents with a mix of living spaces and recreation options centered on the large green space.

The neighborhood developed as a residential area after Toneri Park opened in 1981, turning it into a new local center. The green space shaped the district's identity and attracted more residents afterward.

Toneri maintains Japanese traditions through seasonal celebrations and community gatherings at its central park, which includes a bird sanctuary and recreational spaces.

Visitors reach the neighborhood through Toneri-koen Station on the Nippori-Toneri Liner, which provides direct access to the park and connections to central Tokyo. The area is straightforward to navigate on foot.

The district contains Tokyo's third-largest public park among the 23 special wards, featuring fourteen tennis courts and multiple water recreation zones.
