Toneri, Residential district in Adachi-ku, Japan
The neighborhood of Toneri features several residential complexes and local shops near the expansive Toneri Park, which covers 628,603 square meters.
The area gained prominence after 1981 when Toneri Park opened to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Emperor Hirohito's accession to the throne.
Toneri maintains Japanese traditions through seasonal celebrations and community gatherings at its central park, which includes a bird sanctuary and recreational spaces.
Residents access the district through Toneri-koen Station on the Nippori-Toneri Liner, connecting the area to central Tokyo and neighboring wards.
The district contains Tokyo's third-largest public park among the 23 special wards, featuring fourteen tennis courts and multiple water recreation zones.
